You can get around just fine on Fehmarn even without your own car. The island is flat and, with over 170 kilometers of bike paths, is a cyclist’s paradise. You can rent bikes at several locations on the island.
For longer distances, there’s the Inselbus and the Bürgerbus. A major advantage for vacationers: With the Ostseecard, which you receive as a guest upon arrival, you can use public transportation on the island for free. This way, you can get around stress-free without having to search for parking.
